Sol Y Nieve

If you were cold in Spain at Easter it's because you didn't go to Asturias! Lot's of sun meant some difficult walking in the soft, melting, snow of the Picos de Europa; but the fantastic scenery made it all worthwhile.

Fantastic photos, Graeme. Somewhere in Spain I haven't visited, now definitely on the list of places I need to go to.

I was there a year ago, and seeing your photos makes me long to head back there. It seems that the north is the "lost" Spanish region, and for me it's some of the most beautiful!
Cheers,ryan

It's one of the first areas in Spain I ever visited - although then I didn't get into the mountains. I think I first started really liking Spain when I ate paella cooked on a wood fire on an Asturian beach, washed down with plenty of the local cider. I haven't been back enough - it's completely different to the "standard" image of the country.
